About Leslie

family- leslie and john

My name is Leslie and I currently reside in Springfield, Mo. I am 35 years YOUNG and co-owner of Team Gorman Physique Transformations, a Strong Gym & Your Total Fitness Shop sponsored athlete and 1st Phorm Ambassador.

As a Personal Trainer and Nutritional & Wellness Consultant I LOVE inspiring and teaching others the importance of good nutrition, supplementation, working-out & training hard. Hearing their stories about how much better their lives are since they began eating right and working out and the confidence that comes along with it is an amazing feeling knowing that I was a part in their journey to that healthier life. I also LOVE helping others to reach their goals of stepping on that stage and helping them achieve their best bodies ever!

I have always always competed in some kind of sport and absolutely love the challenge of improving myself in any sport I pursue.  It started with gymnastics at the ripe young age of 6, then on to track and field, cheerleading, collegiate soccer, 5 K’s, 10 K’s, half marathons, and now one of my passions is Bodybuilding. I began competing in bodybuilding competitions as a figure competitor in 2007. Since then I have competed in 15 shows, taking 1st place five times, four 2nd place finishes, and eight top 5 placings.  What can I say… after my first competition I was hooked. I loved seeing the changes in my body, constantly trying to improve my physique, and stepping on stage showing the world how hard I’ve worked.  I also recently began another challenge for myself in the sport of Powerlifting… LOVE IT!  This sport is like nothing else. The physical and mental strength is incredible and has made me a better all-around athlete.  I don’t only want to LOOK strong, but I want to BE strong for life. I’ve now competed in 6 powerlifting meets, each time bettering myself and beating my last meet records. I’ve won the “Best Female Lifter” award twice and have set multiple national and world records in my weight/age class. It keeps me motivated in my bodybuilding “off-season”, and it has really helped me gain the much needed muscle to compete at the figure pro level.

My motto for my life is “Seize Every Day!”  As I look at my life I ask myself, have I lived to my fullest potential, made positive impressions on the people around me, loved with all my heart and been loved in the same way, pushed myself to the limit, challenged myself to step out of my comfort zone and do things I never thought I would do?  I want to look back at my life and think WOW I had an amazing one. So…I’m going seize every day! I’m going to live life to my fullest. God gifted us this one short life, there’s no time for negativity or dreaming about what could have been. I’m going to challenge myself every day. I’m going be the person I know God would be proud of. I’m going to use my skills that God gifted me to my fullest potential. I’m NOT going to look back on my life and wish I would have done more, lived better, or regret what I didn’t do. I’m going to live to my life to fullest potential.  Always challenge yourself to be able to look back on your life and KNOW you had an amazing one.
