I Choose.
We all have choices. We can choose to be fit and healthy for our future and family or not. It’s not about who looks better in those jeans or how you are accepted or discriminated by others. Making healthy choices as well as the time to exercise is, in itself, a daily struggle, but a struggle for you, because you want to….A struggle to fit it all in, a struggle at each meal, each snack, family gathering, parties, holidays, boredom, emotions and the list goes on.
Of course I fall off the horse, and of course I give myself cheat meals but, I choose to eat wholesomely and exercise to be strong and healthy, not to be skinny. I choose to get my exercise in because its a priority for me, I choose to vote with my dollars by buying locally, I choose to hopefully fend off health problems in my later years with healthy choices now. I choose. It gets easier the more you do it and I love every minute of it (mostly :D). Nothing feels as good as a healthy body, mind and soul.
Living healthfully for you and the earth is a lifestyle.
Its a choice I choose every single day.

Well stated. I think we can get so caught up in how we look to others and not for ourselves. Thank you for the reminder.
I know we don’t know eachother very well, but for the last year you have really been an inspiration for me. I mean, you bake cupcakes and compete in figure competitions. Will power!
Girl, you make cupcakes. compete and have two kids. Nuff said. You rock. See you in April!
How do you fit it all in? I find it hard to find time to workout between kids, a job and life. I don’t know how people do it.
Melissa, If you start small and set attainable goals, it makes things much less overwhelming. Depending on your current activity level, make a plan. For example, write this on your calender: week 1: get out and walk 15 minutes 2x per week. Week 2: walk 20 min 2x per week. Week 3: same as week 2. Week 4: walk 3x per week and so on. Set a long term goal and give yourself attainable weekly mini goals along the way. Feel free to contact me with more questions.
